Method IT will send you login details to access the assessment platform once we receive payment.

What is the timeline for completion?

Please do not proceed unless you are ready to start your assessment. You have six months to complete your assessment, after which time your account will be deleted. We are not able to issue a refund if you do not complete it in time, and you will need to make a new Cyber Essentials Self-Certification purchase.

What does my fee include?

The assessment fee covers the cost of the certification and an independent assessor who will verify your answers. No consulting is included in the fee, although we provide guidance should you fail on the first attempt.

What happens if I fail?

Every customer who fails their first self-assessment attempt has the opportunity to make changes within two working days and resubmit their application. An assessor will review your second attempt for no additional charge and approve your certification if the necessary changes have been made.

If you fail on your second attempt or take longer than two days to resubmit your application, you will need to make a new Cyber Essentials Self-Certification purchase.

Your responsibilities

Your answers must be accurate and honest. If any of the information you provide is inaccurate, misleading or fraudulent, we reserve the right to revoke your certificate or assessment and withhold your fee.

As a result, you will not receive a valid certificate, and your organisation will not appear in the Cyber Essentials Certificate Search feature on IASME’s website. Any Cyber Insurance you receive may be invalid, and you may face further action from IASME should you abuse their intellectual property rights.
